Martin Kane, Private Eye, is engaged in finding out why a noted criminal lawyer received an invitation to his own funeral, and then did attend it as the corpse. Suspects include a fellow the lawyer unsuccessfully defended. Kane casts his eyes on the situation, looks over the various clues and comes up with the culprit.

Comments:
This was definitely filmed live (at one point, a camera setting up
for a subsequent shot comes into view). The commercials, for the United States
Tobacco Company, are integrated -- not too well -- into the story as we see
three different brands of pipe tobacco, Old Briar, Model, and Tweed's Best.

Synopsis (from DVD):
Lawyers and convicts are investigated for their involvement
in the courtroom murder of a District Attorney.
Synopsis 2:
A man sentenced to die clears another of a crime he didn't commit,
before pulling a gun and killing the DA, saying the gun was given
to him by the defense attorney. Kane goes to work as the case
becomes more complex.
