Hi from Wisconsin.
Fascinating bit of long-forgotten trivia for you - during the first season of the original
FUGITIVE, in an episode titled "Home is the Hunted," (episode 1-15) Richard Kimble sneaks
back to his hometown to visit his dying father. By the time that episode was re-broadcast
during the summer re-runs, a major piece of dialog was changed in the "Act I" narration.
William Conrad re-dubbed the line that cited "Stafford, Wisconsin" as Kimble's hometown
to "Stafford, Indiana" after viewers alerted producer Quinn Martin that Wisconsin has
no death penalty. Indiana then remained Kimble's home state for the remainder of the series.

Also on the FUGITIVE, second season episode "The Survivors" (episode 2-23), Kimble
visits his former in-laws. His mother-in-law, obsessed with her late daughter, Helen,
keeps replaying a tape (a sort of audio "letter") that Helen send to her before her murder.
The voice of that tape is Diane Brewster's, who portrayed Helen in the flashbacks and
the final episode. She was uncredited.
