**19Sep64** Lucille Ball stars with Bob Hope in a CBS special titled  "The Lucille
Ball Comedy Hour: Mr. and Mrs.," in which Lucy plays a television star/TV-studio
executive -- a fictionalized version of herself. Lucy liked the script for this
special so much that, at one point, she considered scrapping the "Lucy Show"
format and using this special to launch a new series which would feature Gale
Gordon and Vivian Vance (assuming Vivian was willing to continue with Lucy in
series TV.) (Source: "Desilu" by Coyne Steven Sanders and Tom Gilbert.)

The writing team, holdovers from "I Love Lucy" would not write another "Lucy"
segment for six years when they would pen the classic third season premiere of
"Here's Lucy": "Lucy Meets the Burtons."

04May64 - probably the start of summer re-runs
11May64 - probably a re-run
18May64 - re-run of "Lucy Goes Duck Hunting" (from 07Nov63)
