Premise:
In ancient Baghdad, a young girl (Barbara Eden) is transformed into a genie,
placed
in a bottle and sentenced to a life of loneliness on a deserted island when she
refuses to marry a powerful genie - the Blue Djin. Two thousand years later, a
N.A.S.A. test rocket malfunctions and crash lands on a deserted island in the
South
Pacific. It's pilot, Tony Nelson (Larry Hagman) finds a strange green bottle and
opens it. A pink smoke emerges and materializes into a beautiful girl dressed as
a Harem dancer. With the genie's help, Tony is rescued and becomes her master.
Stories set in Cocoa Beach, Florida, relates a master's efforts to control the
antics of a fun-loving genie (whom he calls Jeannie).
