Premise:
Desiring to help the less fortunate, Elsie Ethrington decides to
join a convent. Ordained as Sister Bertrille, she is assigned to
the convent San Tanco in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Stories relate
her efforts to help people of her poor community. The title "The
Flying Nun" refers to Sister Bertille's ability to fly when the
strong winds strike her nurses uniform.
