Premise: Eve Arden plays Liza Hammond a widowed novelist, with Allyn Joslyn
as George Howell the head of the lecture bureau, with whom she spends
most of her spare time, as she struggles to cope with work, home
and her twin daughters Jenny and Mary.

Synopsis:
The first episode shares the title of the book by Emily Kimbrough which
inspired this series. In this episode, Liza Hammond (Eve Arden) has written
a successful book called "Summer's End," and an agent wants her to do a
lecture tour because of its success. She declines the offer because she
has extreme stage fright, but her nagging debts left behind by her late
husband (she has 2 fraternal twin daughters and her mother living with her)
that she finally gives in. She is extremely nervous on her first lecture,
but utilizes some advice to picture everyone in the audience in their
underwear, and from that point on she is magnificent. [RL]
