Premise:
Frustrations of Joe Calucci, a soft-hearted office supervisor
for the New York State Unemployment Department. [JK]

"Calucci's Department" was taped in New York, and may have drawn its
writers pool from there. It was a little darker than the Hollywood-based
sitcoms of the time, which may be partly why it didn't last long.

Network Competition:
Scheduled opposite NBC's "Sanford & Son" and ABC's "The Brady Bunch"
