Synopsis 1:
Darrin Stephens learns shortly after their wedding that his bride Samantha is a real
card-carrying, cauldron-stirring witch. While trying to absorb this revelation, the
couple attends a dinner party thrown by Darrin's catty former girl friend.
Synopsis 2:
Samantha and Darrin, an ideally matched couple, decide to marry. On their wedding night,
Samantha must confess to Darrin that he unknowingly married a witch.

Although this episode originally aired on September 17, 1964, it was filmed in November of 1963.

Synopsis 1:
Sam takes her critical mother, Endora, on an inspection tour of the home Darrin has bought,
and they both meet Abner and Gladys Kravitz, the new neighbors.
Synopsis 2:
Endora, Samantha's mother, is disgusted when Samantha refuses to use her supernatural powers
to cope with the routine tasks of a suburban housewife.
