9.01 "Fine Feathered Friend" (09/30/62):
Lassie is concerned over the fate of a magician's disappearing pigeon.

9.02 "Quick Brown Fox" (10/07/62):
Timmy and Lassie care for a pair of orphaned fox cubs.

9.03 "Desperate Search" (10/14/62):
Timmy promises his friend Andy that he'll care for his pregnant dog, but
while taking her home, she is struck by a car and runs away.

9.04 "Home Within a Home" (10/21/62):
Cully's old barn is condemned for passage of a new gas line, but the old man
can't get his animals to leave.

9.05 "Deadly Goats" (10/28/62):
Paul orders Timmy to keep an eye on the goats he has pastured in a canyon
when one of them dies from anthrax, but he's careless and lets them escape.

9.06 "Fawn Patrol" (11/04/62):
Timmy and Lassie help ranger Mark Adams tag fawns for a conservation project.

9.07 "Gentle Savage" (11/11/62):
Timmy and Lassie care for a wild stallion suddenly tame after a fall down a
cliff. Doc Weaver: Arthur Space.

9.08 "The Nest" (11/18/62):
Timmy and Lassie aid a mallard duck who laid her eggs on the track of a
soon-to-be-opened spur line.

9.09 "Lassie's Ordeal" (11/25/62):
Lassie is trapped on a rocky ledge at a construction site while trying to
help a trapped fawn. Pete: Rafer Johnson. Boss: Garry Walberg.

9.10 "Howling Hero" (12/02/62):
Smokey, the new fire dog, is afraid of fires.

9.11 "A Career for Lassie" (12/16/62):
Timmy and his new friend Danny, the son of a retired circus performer,
decide to run away to join the carnival. Danny: Teddy Rooney (Mickey Rooney's son).

9.12 "Show Dog" (12/30/62):
Timmy and Lassie befriend a overworked Irish Setter doing promotions for a
dog food. Trainer: Sean McClory.

9.13 "Decision" (01/06/63):
Timmy decides to give the lost Yorkshire terrier he finds to his French
friend Ricky, who is homesick. Ricky: Phillippe Chappelle.

9.14 "A Specialist for Lassie" (01/13/63):
A hunter's bullet lodges in a dangerous spot in Lassie's body after she
pushes Cully out of the way of the shot. Cully: Andy Clyde. Doc Weaver: Arthur Space.

9.15 "Lassie's Lonely Burden" (01/20/63):
Lassie knows that a hawk endangers the pigeon that Timmy is entering in a homing race.

9.16 "Swimmers" (01/27/63):
Timmy's friend Kevin is showing off the swimming prowess of his Labrador,
Jet, when the dog falls and injures its spine. Kevin: Ronnie Dapo.

9.17 "Lassie's Fish Story" (02/03/63):
Ed Washburn may be disqualified from a fishing contest if a jealous
competitor can prove Lassie "pointed" fish for him. Washburn: Dick Foran.

9.18 "Cully's Revenge" (02/10/63):
After a wild steer kills Cully's hound dog Sam, the distraught man vows
revenge on the animal. Cully: Andy Clyde.

9.19 "The Journey" part 1 (02/17/63):
During a storm, a carnival balloon carries Timmy and Lassie away toward the
Canadian northlands.

9.20 "The Journey" part 2 (02/24/63):
The balloon carrying Timmy and Lassie lands in a Canadian forest and they
start a trek toward civilization.

9.21 "The Journey" part 3 (03/03/63):
While they are hunting for food, Lassie is badly injured by a wild boar.

9.22 "The Journey" part 4 (03/10/63):
An Indian who lives as a hermit finds Timmy unconscious after the raft he
built for Lassie and himself is wrecked in the rapids. Chinook Pete: Richard Kiel.

9.23 "Project Bluebirds" (03/24/63):
Timmy begins building birdhouses when he discovers that bluebirds have no nesting places.

9.24 "The Twister" (03/31/63):
Cully is the object of the scorn of the neighbors when he predicts a frost that doesn't come.

9.25 "Lassie and the Rustler" (04/07/63):
Mr. Hanes blames the disappearance of his young turkeys on a drifter.

9.26 "Lady from Nevada" (04/14/63):
Cully borrows money from Paul to enter a wild burro race and ends up with an
obstreperous entry named Queenie. Cully: Andy Clyde.

9.27 "Operation Woodland" (04/21/63):
Timmy's on a project to collect pine cones for seeds for reforestation. Miss Hazlit: Sally Bliss.

9.28 "Weasel Warfare" (04/28/63):
After Cully has a heart attack, Timmy has his hands full trying to keep
weasels out of his henhouse. Cully: Andy Clyde. Cully's Doctor: John Zaremba.

9.29 "Silver Soldier" (05/05/63):
Lassie befriends a German Shepherd dog in training for the Army.

9.30 "A Matter of Pride" (05/12/63):
Lassie protects Timmy's homing pigeons, trapped behind power lines.

9.31 "Eagle's Lair" (05/19/63):
Lassie and Timmy rescue a wounded bald eagle and worry about the fate of her babies.
