A continuation of the "Jeff's Collie" Lassie series. Shortly after the death of Gramps, Ellen Miller,
who is unable to run the farm sells it to Paul and Ruth Martin, a childless couple who later adopt
Timmy, the orphan she had been caring for. Jeff Miller (Tommy Rettig) is unable to take Lassie to the
city with him leaves her with her new master Timmy (Jon Provost). Stories relate the adventures
shared by a boy and his dog. (See episode #4.13 "Transition")

4.01 "The Runaway" (09/08/57):
Lassie discovers a small boy hiding in the barn, but the child won't talk.
The Millers soon find out he's Timmy, an orphan living with his elderly aunt
and uncle.

4.02 "The Suit" (09/15/57):
Timmy blames the damage on his new suit on Lassie.

4.03 "Graduation" (09/22/57):
Jeff is thrilled to accept a summer job at Doc Weaver's office, but when he
neglects his duty for a few minutes, a potentially rabid dog is let loose.
Doc Weaver: Arthur Space.

4.04 "The Burro" (09/29/57):
A dying burro is rescued by Timmy and Lassie.

4.05 "The Berrypickers" (10/06/57):

4.06 "The Raccoon" (10/13/57):
Timmy and Jeff nurse an injured raccoon back to health--and he repays them
by wreaking havoc on the farm.

4.07 "The Ballerina" (10/20/57):
Jeff refuses to meet a girl--until he sees her dance.

4.08 "The Elephant" (10/27/57):
Timmy and Lassie hide an escaped baby elephant, but don't realize its
enraged mother is searching for it.

4.09 "The Spartan" (11/03/57):
The boys persuade Timmy not to say anything after he takes a spill in the
lake, and he develops pneumonia.

4.10 "Happy" (11/10/57):

4.11 "The Wolf Cub" (11/17/57):
Wanting a dog of his own, Timmy adopts a wolf cub.

4.12 "The Tooth" (11/24/57):
Timmy's precious loose tooth falls out, but is lost during the excitement
over an eclipse.

4.13  Lassie: TRANSITION (12/01/57):
When Gramps dies, Ellen and Jeff decide they must sell the farm. Timmy,
finding out he cannot go with them, is determined to run away.

4.14 "Timmy's Family" (12/08/57):
Ruth's over-mothering of Timmy leads him to believe she hates Lassie, so he
tries to take her back to Jeff. Jan Clayton and Donald Keeler guest star in
this episode.

4.15 "The Bike" (12/15/57):
Timmy begs for a bicycle since he's always late for school, but Paul doesn't
think he's responsible enough for one.

4.16 "The Goose" (12/22/57):
Timmy's reluctant to meet a girl visitor to the farm, especially when he
sees her pet--a goose!

4.17 "The Baby-Sitter" (12/29/57):
Timmy and Scott think they're too old for a baby-sitter, until they try to
fend for themselves.

4.18 "The Crisis" (01/05/58):
Timmy hides severe stomach cramps until it's almost too late.

4.19 "The Business" (01/12/58):
It turns out that worms Lassie digs up are certain fish catchers, but Timmy
and Scott have a hard time convincing folks of it.

4.20 "The Ring" (01/19/58):
Timmy believes Paul's Uncle Petrie tells lies and snubs him when he comes to
help Paul on the farm.

4.21 "The Greyhound" (01/26/58):
Timmy and Lassie find a greyhound that appears to have been abused.

4.22 "Inoculation" (02/02/58):
Timmy's wary about receiving a vaccination, and Scott's gruesome stories do
nothing to reassure him.

4.23 "The Pony" (02/09/58):
Timmy comes running home with a story about a rabbit-sized pony--but no one
believes him.

4.24 "Sinbad" (02/16/58):
Timmy accidentally breaks Uncle Petrie's favorite guitar, so borrows a
talking parrot in order to win a contest prize to replace it.

4.25 "The Square Dance" (02/23/58):
The whole family is looking forward to a square dance--until Timmy and Scott
find out they must hold hands and dance with girls to go.

4.26 "The Garden" (03/02/58):
A drought is hitting the area pretty hard, and Timmy desperately attempts to
keep his own garden from perishing.

4.27 "Concussion" (03/09/58):
After she is struck a blow to the head, Lassie has amnesia and wanders away.


4.28 "The Hungry Deer" (03/16/58):
Members of the community band together to hunt down deer driven to eat their
crops, but Timmy and Scott fight to do something that doesn't involve
killing them.

4.29 "The Hospital" (03/23/58):
Timmy is stricken with severe measles and keeps calling out for Lassie.

4.30 "The Penguin" (03/30/58):
A crate holding a penguin enroute to the Capitol City zoo falls off its
truck, and Timmy and Scott adopt the creature.

4.31 "The Bird House" (04/06/58):
Timmy tends an injured sparrow.

4.32 "Seeing Eye Dog" (04/13/58):
Timmy and Lassie find an injured seeing eye dog-- but where is his owner?

4.33 "Junior Firemen" (04/20/58):
Timmy becomes overzealous in his efforts to spot fire hazards to win a
contest.

4.34 "The Blanket" (04/27/58):
Ruth tries to replace Lassie's disreputable old blanket with a new one, but
Lassie will have none of it.

4.35 "The Rabbits" (05/04/58):
Timmy's new rabbits take precidence over Lassie.

4.36 "The Cub Scout" (05/11/58):
Scott's city cousins make fun of Timmy and Scott's interest in the Cub
Scouts. Ken Osmond

4.37 "The Crow" (05/18/58):
Timmy's "patient," an injured crow, recovers to become a farm pest.

4.38 "The Mother" (05/25/58):
On the sly, Lassie tends some orphaned puppies.

4.39 "The House Guest" (06/01/58):
Ruth's neice Lisa visits the farm and Timmy doesn't want to play with her
because "playing with girls is sissy."

4.40 "The Sermon" (06/08/58):
Inspired by the sermon at church, Timmy tries to befriend animals, but ends
up playing samaratin to several people instead.
