Synopsis:
On the first warm day of summer, two lonely people, a young girl and a
middle-aged man, meet by chance at the fountain in a quiet garden square.
In this haven, away from the clamour of the city, they talk about
themselves as only strangers can. Both are enriched by the encounter -
but are they too late to find the happiness that has eluded them so far?
Note:
"The Square" was written by Marguerite Duras, one of the most outstanding
French novelists and film scenario writers of the day.
